Rep. Member Orumba North and South Empowers Youths With Ict Training Doles Cash For Business Support

The member representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, today the 6th of August 2025, empowers over Sixty (60) youths on training programme on information and Commutation Technology (Ict) across Orumba North and South with THEME: APPLICATION OF ICT IN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUTHS at las Vagas hotel Umunze, Presents cash ₦200,000 Business Support to each of all the participants.

In a landmark empowerment initiative, Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, the esteemed member representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, today flagged off a training program on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for youths across her constituency.

The event, held at Las Vegas hotel Umunze in Orumba South local government, marks a major step toward bridging the digital divide and equipping young people with the tools to thrive in the 21st-century economy.

The program, organized in collaboration with RIGO Projects Company Ltd, attracted over sixty (60) enthusiastic youths from various communities and wards activities Orumba North and South.

Participants were trained in a range of ICT skills including digital marketing and online entrepreneurship.

The initiative aims to improve the employability and self-reliance of the youths in a rapidly changing technological landscape.

In her opening remarks, Hon Nnabuife expressed her unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and economic development in her constituency. “This training is more than just about learning ICT. It’s about opening doors, creating opportunities, and preparing our youths for global competitiveness,” she said.

She emphasized that the empowerment program is part of her broader vision for sustainable development and job creation in Orumba North and South.

In a remarkable gesture of support, each participant in the program received a ₦200,000 business grant to kickstart or expand their ventures.

The financial assistance is intended to serve as startup capital or operational support, enabling the trained youths to immediately put their newly acquired digital skills into practical use.

This move was met with great excitement and appreciation from the beneficiaries, many of whom described it as life-changing.

The event concluded with a call to action from Hon Nnabuife, urging the youths to make full use of the opportunity and become ambassadors of change within their communities.

She reiterated her resolve to continue championing initiatives that uplift and empower the people of Orumba.

The permanent secretary of ministry of youths Anambra State Hon Engr Martins Agbili, the special adviser to Hon Nnabuife on youth mobilisation Comr Francis Nwosu, the Cordinator NYCN Orumba South Comr Uchenna Ejeri, Hon Obinna Nwankwo, Hon mouneme Arise among others In their respective speech, appreciate Hon Nnabuife for her thoughtfulness in ensuring that Orumba Youths are being intimated and fit in into the digital global community, urge the participants to ensure they utilise the opportunity very judiciously for self development and improvement.

Presentation of certificates of participation and cash of two hundred thousand naira to each of all the participants form the climax of the event.

With today’s empowerment program, Hon. Chinwe Nnabuife once again demonstrated her dedication to inclusive development and the future of the younger generation.
